Susan Tabia

Susan Tabia runs Charlotte Children's Village in Uganda. Susan began her work in this area in the 1990s, establishing IWASSRU, an association of South Sudanese Widows, in the refugee camps of northern Uganda at the peak of the Civil War. As the violence escalated, the camps became increasingly ill-equipped to deal with the children orphaned from conflict or disease. She has written a book about her experiences.
