The Agriculture Project
Thanks to a loan from Ali Moses, the Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda, Charlotte Children’s Village has 52 acres of land for farming. We grow fruit (including watermelons), vegetables, maize and other crops. We have four cows, all kindly donated by Gaby and Jorge Espinosa.

By growing our own produce, the Village can provide a significant amount of its own food and sell the surplus at market. Our staff and children work together to cultivate and harvest the produce; in the process they learn agricultural skills for later life. By expanding the agriculture project each year we plan to make the Village self-sustaining.

We welcome donations to the agriculture project.
